Asian Star Chinese Buffet in Dublin

I dont like giving poor reviews.. the food was okay. I did not like the ice cream bar. You have to scoop your own (which was not the problem but seemed unsanitary from the start) and when I went over there, the scooper was just sitting in this nasty water where you had to put it back in to get the ice cream off...it had water running but it was not clean.. Everything was sticky and not well kept. I didn't even eat it. The worst part was the quality of the restaurant. It wasnt clean at all.. when I got a closer look... The ceiling was covered in dust, the booth we were sitting in was so old we couldnt sit back in the seat because it was flimsy..then i looked down to the floor...the pictures will speak for themselves. I like to try to give businesses a chance but Damn...don't go here. Go to B & D's Mongolian Bbq which is a couple doors down.

very expensive $15 for each one but we’re 2 adults and 2 kids. food was disgusting I got sick. I’m not recommend this place.

Food was great hot and fresh. Place was pretty clean. Hopefully the manager understood what I was saying about our male server and his dirty funky armpit smell. It was very nauseating each time he walked past. Please get the you g man some deodorant.

Food was cold, felt rushed to eat and leave when they delivered the check before we even had any dessert. Way too over priced for the quality of food. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else to eat.

Sevice was bad. Food wasn’t fresh or well maintained. Dont waste your time.

Been coming here for years! We love the food and staff. When we walk in they recognize us and cook our favorite foods and set it out fresh. I feel like these guys are part of my extended family.

It was decent for a buffet. The food is okay, my main complaint is the whole place had a fish smell as soon as I walked in. The service was okay, food was okay, overall not bad food but I couldn't get over the smell.

Do not recommend, by far the worst Asian buffet I have been to. Food was very subpar and we were there 2 hours before close. Most of the buffet was empty and they asked us what they should refill instead of just making sure everything was fresh and stocked. I wasn't even familiar with their bar that's why we chose a buffet ... and now we have to tell them what to make available? We had a party if 5 and the bar was so unimpressive only 3 of us ate.

The food here is good and the place seems pretty clean. The dining area could use some updating and/ or remodeling but overall it's a good lunch stop

i just wish I can get my food like it use to be. Instead of someone serving the food for me and telling them what to put on my plate. For now Im not going until the covid 19 pandemic is over or until we can put our food on our plate

Good Asian American Buffet. Good service. Hot, fresh food at dinner time. Best crab rangoons I've found on a buffet! Bits of meat in them, not just cream cheese. Lots of chicken dishes, but also beef, pork, and a variety of seafood dishes plus all the expected "chinese" buffet fair. Nice variety and lots of choices. Also, have pizza, cheese sticks, wings, and a few other selections for children and non-oriental lovers.

This place used to be a good buffet to go to. The service was decent but the food was better. Now it’s all down hill... the service from who seems to be the owners, is always poor. They like to change the price of things based on how old “they” feel your kids are. I have no problem paying whatever they seem fit for a certain age range, it’s when that rate varies week-to-week, is when it’s a problem for me. Best of luck to them since there are plenty of other places to spend my money.

This was the second time I've been to this particular buffet and it was just as good as last time. All of the food I tried was delicious. Staff did a pretty decent job of keeping our glasses full.CCW friendly

We love this place. We've never had a bad meal or been sick afterward. The dishesare all tasty. Reasonably priced.

No as nice as it use to be. Quality of food as seem to go down. And the carpet really needs to go. And what looks like, mold on ceiling tiles.

I might have come at a bad time but several items were not good. Over cooked items. Crab Rangoon was good but egg rolls and spring rolls were greasy. Hibachi Chicken was very good as was the Fried Rice with Pork.

Pretty standard Asian buffet fare. They've managed to maintain standards for nearly three decades, which is kind of amazing.

Food is always good. Smaller selection since reopening after the pandemic but the food is good as ever.

If you go around a busy lunchtime and dinner time then the food will be the freshest but there’s smaller portions in between and not everything may look very appetizing. I’ve been going here ever since I was a little girl with my family and we are still going there. Some of the same people are working since I was little and service is always fast. I always get their hot tea. This is not a pretty place to go to or anything and everything is run down but the prices are right and food is good too.

So happy they are open to dine in!

I come for the buffet but got to go tonight. Thought it was strange that the head on shrimp was 14.95 but doesn’t come with rice. They gave me a little after I asked though

Excellent food. Floors were dirty and not swept. Come early the selection is better than the evening.

Great food, variety and they keep it refilled

After paying $13 for lunch and getting terrible service, this will be last time eating at this place. Waiter are terrible and rude. Food is mostly fried and taste terrible. Not worth $ 5 .

Personally, it's the best buffet that I've gone to. My family keeps looking for a chinese buffet and so far, after 10 years and counting, THIS place is the perfect one for me. I like shrimps and they have some after 4 p.m., of which we all stay to eat it, but there's WAY much more than just that. They're all nice and hot, ready to eat. One thing would be how slow the food gets switched, but it's not a small place, so it's to be expected.

It's your standard buffet. The food is consistently average or better. The servers are always friendly. It is perfect for a go-to place for comfort food.

Food was good. Exactly what you expect from buffets but clean environment.

Big buffet.. all variety of Chinese food.. big place with large quantity.. too many appetizers, desserts, main menu, soups etccc ... Refilling then and there.. quick service.. unlimited food..Friendly staff.. good welcoming.. n of course don't miss the fortune cookies...

The food here and selection is awesome here you’ll love it. The only downside to this place is it’s a little bit dated. In North West Columbus this place has the best selection of Chinese food and it’s a buffet how can you go wrong? The price is fair may be a little high but everything is well worth it. I think the best thing on the buffet is the lo mein so we give it a try your stomach will thank you for

Worst Chinese buffet in the town.If you got there after 3.30 pm make sure and tell them you're going with dinner.Servers act like they serve free food. Seen people taking food with their hands, the servers didn't even tell them not or change that.Not at all recommend

Its a buffet so I come for the food. Which is delicious i love coming here dinner an lunch. Fast to be seated and servers are quick w drinks and grabbing plates. This is one of my favorite food places.

The place is good maybe a little colder inside but its ok. Food was good but need to ask what. I want to eat and they will cook it. But good. Deserts good. Everything was good. Except this lady that works there that was wearing black and white striped t shirt was looking at my family like we will eat and ran away without paying. It was weird when someone watching you eat. I didnt like that. I Hope they can stop doing that. Its weird and kind of creepy.

Only for the few people who can handle this type of food. Sometimes the chicken is a little tough. Not all the meat is the freshest. The price is a little higher than I'd like. I'd recommend this place of you're feeling a little adventurous and or invincible.

One of the better Chinese buffets in town. Plenty of variety. Was pretty packed for lunch time on a Monday. Wings are very good; add a little bit of the jalapeno soy sauce and chili oil, perfection

Food was good, not all of it was as warm/fresh as it should be though. Place was good enough inside, smelled kinda damp but it certainly wasn't bad. Staff was pleasant as well. No real complaints outside of my food being "Meh". It's a buffet do I don't expect 5 Star food, but it should at least be warm. Could have just been the time I went post lunch, around 3:30, but certainly not a bad little joint!
